"Getting ready"

I love the mornings on wedding days. I love getting to spend time with the bride and the women closest to her while they get ready - you see the friendships, the closeness between mom and daughter....so much love and excitement and anticipation. I just love weddings.

Tip for brides: To get the best possible results from your "getting ready" photos, get ready by a window, or in a room with lots of windows, and face the light (see the photo below where she puts on her earrings - my favorite). Also, put your dress on near a window. Hotel rooms or rooms in houses are often dark (darker than you think since your eyes adjust), so utilizing natural window light will help make for fantastic photos.
